Eric Van Zele
Managing a worldwide market leader like Barco in an evolving market and industry is a challenge. Eric Van Zele believes in opportunities and wants his employees to believe in the story of their company. In January 2009 Eric Van Zele was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Barco nv, a global leader in professional visualization and collaboration solutions.
Eric further serves as Chairman of the Board of Reynaers Aluminium nv, Belgium.
Prior to his current responsibilities Eric Van Zele served as CEO of Pauwels International (2004 thru 2008) and of Telindus nv (2000 thru 2003). Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Raychem Corporation in Menlo park, CA, USA and as Managing Director of Raychem nv in Leuven, Belgium.
Eric Van Zele was nominated “Manager of the Year 2012” and “ICT Personality 2012”.
Eric holds a master degree in electrical and mechanical engineering from the KUL in Leuven (1972) and postgraduate degrees in management from Stanford University (1992 CA, USA).
